Samsung Galaxy S III V/S Apple iPhone 5 - Which One's Better??

Samsung Galaxy S III V/S Apple iPhone 5 - Which One's Better??

Basic Features

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This display will show you the beauty of Android 4.0.4 with the TouchWiz UX user interface on top of it and best of all, it will boast a pixel density of 306 pixels per inch.
In turn, the iPhone 5 display is rumored to measure in at around 4.6-inches and considering the huge leaps Apple made in this regard, we might see another huge pixel density right off the bat. For comparison, just look at the iPad 3 Retina display and you will get an idea of what to expect.

Processor

The real star of the show for the Android Powered Galaxy SIII is the quad-core Exynos 4412 quad-core processor with 1.4GHz per core. We saw how the Exynos processor handled in the Galaxy S II, so I have high expectations of the quad-core coming from the Korean manufacturer.
Apple did not impress me that much with the A5X processor used in the iPad 3, but the rumors are claiming that the iPhone 5 will ship with the A6 quad-core processor from Apple. This is not something that hard to believe since there are plenty of quad-core competitors already out, so to keep up, Apple needs to show some muscles here.

Memory and Storage

The big unknowns with the Apple iPhone 5 are the rest of the specs. We could assume the above mentioned ones based on reports from a number of tech blogs and suppliers, but the rest is a mystery. However, in order to beat the Galaxy SIII or at least compete with it, the iPhone 5 will need 1 GB of RAM and a GPU to compete with the ARM Mali-400/MP4 GPU in the S3.
Not only that, but the Galaxy SIII supports micro SD cards of up to 64 GB, which means that the device can reach up to 96 GB of storage. This will be required since the new 8 megapixel camera in the Galaxy SIII can do 1080p recording at 30 fps, comes with an improved sensor and tons of other features.
